The Department of Sanskrit at SKR Government Degree College for Women, Rajahmundry, is committed to promoting the study and appreciation of Sanskrit, one of the oldest and richest classical languages of India. Sanskrit is the foundation of a vast literary and intellectual tradition encompassing philosophy, literature, grammar, ethics, science, and Indian cultural heritage.

The department strives to create awareness of the linguistic, literary, cultural, and philosophical significance of Sanskrit among students.
